Overview *Contains Spoilers*

I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the first because I felt the ending was incredibly rushed. In the first book, the time spent in the arena took up the majority of the story and I expected this one to be the same. It wasn’t. The time in the arena and before, felt very rushed and should have taken longer than the few days that it actually took. Collins should have either made the whole book longer, or cut down on some of the explanation before the Quarter Quell is announced.

Overall, I did enjoy this book but like the first one, I would recommend it to teenagers rather than younger readers because a lot of the topics covered in the book are disturbing.
